Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service: your account information, the pregnancy and health data you choose to track, your messages to the AI assistant, and basic usage data that helps us improve the app.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and maintain the app, personalise your experience to your due date and stage, improve the AI assistant, communicate with you, and keep the platform secure.

Third-party AI services

Our AI chat uses trusted third-party providers to generate replies. We work with OpenAI (GPT models) and xAI (Grok). The data shared with them is limited to the text and images you send in the chat, transmitted solely to answer your questions.

All requests are routed through our secure server — the app never talks to AI providers directly. We do not use your chats to train AI models, and we do not sell your data. You give explicit consent before the first use, and you can review or revoke it any time in Settings → Privacy & AI.

Data that stays on your device

The following is stored locally and never shared with third parties:

• Your personal profile (name, age, avatar)
• Pregnancy data (due date, gestational age, trimester)
• Weight, appointments, contraction and kick records
• Hospital-bag list, baby names and test results

Storage and security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we store it on secure servers located in the EU in line with EU data-protection rules.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area you can access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. To see what we know about you, simply ask Mama Ai in the app: “What do you know about me?” To change or delete information, just ask directly.

Children’s privacy

Mama Ai is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
